Join our well‑established and rapidly expanding team within PwC's Supply Chain and Procurement team, where we specialise in delivering transformative solutions for our clients. While providing an opportunity to work across a range of sectors, the primary focus of this role is to drive innovation, value, and excellence for our clients in Defence.
The role will be based in one of the following locations: London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Responsibilities
* Deliver procurement transformation projects including the design and implementation of procurement strategy, operating models, processes, systems and tools.
* Develop and execute category strategies for indirect and direct categories across the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle: category planning, opportunity assessment, negotiation, supplier management and contract management.
* Conduct cost analyses to identify cost‑saving opportunities and efficiencies, and implement cost‑management strategies aligned with client objectives.
* Analyze current operations to identify improvement areas, and implement operational strategies to increase efficiency while leading change‑management efforts.
* Guide clients through a digital transformation journey, identifying opportunities for automation, data analytics and advanced technologies.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients as a trusted advisor, lead project teams, manage timelines, ensure deliverables meet expectations, and mentor junior consultants.
Qualifications
* Experience in defence with a focus on supply chain, procurement, cost reduction, manufacturing, operations improvement, and digital transformation.
* Proven track record of delivering successful projects in consulting or industry roles.
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving, data‑driven insight and recommendation skills.
* Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of delivering significant cost savings across the value chain.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies such as ERP systems, data analytics software, and source‑to‑pay solutions.
* Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
