The Role
We are seeking a Mental Health Social Worker to join our Central Locality Mental Health Team. You will:
* Undertake Care Act and carers\' assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and reviews.
* Develop care and support plans that promote independence and wellbeing.
* Support people with functional and/or organic mental health needs, making effective use of community resources and social care budgets.
* Deliver evidence-based practice including motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care and psychoeducation.
* Provide guidance on the Care Act, Mental Health Act and safeguarding procedures.
* Work closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues in health, housing and voluntary services.
* Champion the rights of adults with mental health needs and their carers.
* Be supported to train as an AMHP, with further opportunities for BIA/AMCP development.
About You
You will be a qualified and registered Social Worker with:
* Experience in adult social care, ideally within mental health.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practice.
* The ability to manage complex caseloads and apply a strengths-based approach.
* Excellent partnership working skills across health, social care and community services.
* Motivation to develop as an AMHP or BIA/AMCP with Haringey's support.
