Ribble Recruitment are looking for a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join an established Children’s Residential home. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role within a dynamic team, supporting children and young people while helping shape the home’s culture, practice, and routines.
As Team Leader, you will support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, child-centred care, supervising staff, and ensuring the home operates safely, compliantly, and effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision to the care team
*
Support the Registered Manager in delivering a safe, nurturing, and aspirational environment for children and young people
*
Promote positive behaviour management and trauma-informed care practices
*
Assist in staff development, mentoring, and performance monitoring
*
Ensure safeguarding procedures and safer recruitment practices are followed at all times
*
Support the home in meeting Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted Quality Standards
*
Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and reviews for children
*
Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs in line with organisational and regulatory requirements
*
Step in as acting manager when required, gaining exposure to leadership responsibilities
About You
You will:
*
Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent); Level 5 leadership training is desirable
*
Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a children’s residential setting
*
Demonstrate knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care
*
Be confident supervising staff and leading shifts
*
Be reliable, resilient, and values-driven, committed to achieving positive outcomes for children
*
Have excellent communication and teamworking skills
