Our Gears division encompasses a highly skilled legacy machining area as well as a state-of-the-art 'Best in Class' machining area, boasting significant investment in modern equipment and innovative methods.The planning of Gears production is of paramount importance and carries substantial responsibility. This role entails ensuring seamless material flow throughout the cells and supporting production through efficient work scheduling and timely release of work orders.While initially on day shifts, flexibility for shift work and potential overtime may be necessary as production volumes escalate.What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?* Schedule and publish daily production plans.* Manage demand and make necessary adjustments (including push-ins, push-outs, and handling exception messages).* Ensure timely release of work orders, including managing Change Management introductions and First Article Inspection (FAI) batches.* Develop and execute expedited recovery plans, escalating priorities as needed.* Conduct forward analysis and Line of Balance projections to ensure production coverage.* Communicate commitments for customer delivery 'promise dates'.* Monitor raw material and subcontract requirements, escalating constraints as necessary.* Maintain accurate records in SAP and ensure ERP system integrity.* Manage the transactional progress of Aged Work in Progress (WIP) and inventory control requirements.* Support quality clinic triage, oversee scrap recovery, and facilitate rework order progression.* Gather and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) critical to business operations.* Promptly escalate deviations from production plans.What will you bring to the role?Essential skills:* Effective Communication: Clear, respectful communication fosters teamwork and ensures smooth coordination.* Problem-Solving Aptitude: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving production challenges promptly.* Attention to Detail and Organization: Meticulousness in managing tasks and maintaining accurate records ensures production efficiency.Desirable skills:* Diploma or professional qualifications (preferred but not essential).* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a planning or logistics role.* Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.* SAP experience is preferred.* Highly motivated, assertive, and reliable, with a tenacious approach to task completion and follow-up.* Organized and methodical, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.* Data-driven mindset with strong analytical abilities.* Excellent interpersonal skills, approachable demeanor, respectful attitude towards team members, and friendly disposition.About us:At Collins Aerospace, we’re working side by side with our customers & partners to dream, design & deliver solutions that redefine the future of our industry.
