National Business Development Manager

Basic Salary: £40,000 - £60,000

Uncapped Monthly Commission Structure: Additional £20k-£60k+ per annum

Company Car - Electric (MG4 EV or Equivalent)

25 days holiday + BH

Based anywhere in the UK

Within 12 months if you land major national accounts, you’ll have an Account Manager hired beneath you so you can stay focused on high-value new business.


As the sales team grows from 4 to 10+ in the next couple of years, you’ll be first in line to lead a team of Area Sales Managers.

What You'll be doing


Your mission: deliver £1m in new business profit in 2026, mainly targeting Facilities Management and Commercial Cleaning sectors, with freedom to expand into Hospitality and Education.


You’ll operate nationally, selling a sustainable service solution that includes cleaning and catering supplies, tableware, PPE, janitorial, and healthcare consumables.


What you won’t do is flog product lines line by line like everyone else.


You’ll be a solution seller consulting with customers to hit their ESG goals with greener products, ditch supplier chaos, cut waste, and simplify their operations.


If you get a buzz from new business, this role is for you.


About 90% of your time will be spent on new business development, but you’ll keep the customers you win and then have full ownership to manage their accounts.


You’ll feel the satisfaction of having a huge impact on your company's growth.


You won’t be a small cog in a big machine; you’ll be one of the key people shaping where the company goes next, where every deal you make has a visible effect on everything around you.


Where you’ll be doing it

They’ve spent 20+ years building a strong foundation in workplace essentials, hygiene, cleaning, catering, PPE, and healthcare consumables.


Six months ago, they hired Stuart, one of the most impressive sales leaders in this market, to map the next phase: growing from £6m to £30m by 2030.


He’s moved them from a line-by-line product supplier to a sustainability solution provider, giving you a much stronger USP, customer proposition and bigger AOV = more sales = more commission.


The plan’s built, the systems are ready, the facility is state-of-the-art, and this role is the first step in that journey.


You’ll be part of a culture that rewards initiative, trusts its people, and gives you the freedom to perform without corporate political nonsense.


What you’ll need to apply


* You’ll be driven, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial.
* Ideally experience selling cleaning/hygiene/catering supplies products OR experience selling into the Facilities Management Sector
* You’ll have proven new business sales experience and can demonstrate growth.
* You’ll have a track record as a solutions-based seller, not a price-driven seller.
* A UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel nationally when required.
* You’ll also have decent Excel skills to use data in reporting & sustainability presentations.
