Melrose is a short distance to Edinburgh, with regular train services from the nearby station at Tweedbank, and accessible locations such as the Northumberland coast and Cumbria.
Ideally, applicants should have relevant academic qualifications, though this isn’t considered essential, and hold a current full valid driving licence, which is essential for the role. Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or progressing towards attaining chartered status or another similar professional qualification is preferred.
