Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a QA Engineering – Senior Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 10-month contract position until 27th February 2026.
Umbrella Pay Rate: Up to £33.64 per hour.

The Programme Quality Teams drive quality into programme delivery by acting as the 'Voice of the Customer' and influencing programme management, Product Development, Purchasing, Suppliers, Manufacturing, and Marketing to make customer-driven decisions.
This specific 10-month fixed-term role focuses on managing programme quality within the delivery of Vehicle Programmes on our leading and iconic brands. The goal is to achieve the key Quality targets set throughout the development of new vehicle programmes, ensuring they meet customer expectations.
This role will be responsible for:
1. Ensuring the integrity of quality maturation via assessment and validation of Critical to Quality deliverables through to Gateway approval.
2. Developing and driving Whole Life Quality Plans to ensure vehicles meet quality targets and reduce Things Gone Wrong (TGW).
3. Driving the Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) process from IPB build through to post-
driving problem resolution and reduction of TGW.
4. Ensuring all programme deliverables under the programme quality team's responsibility are delivered robustly and on time.
5. Managing risks and issues where deliverables are not delivered as planned, via risk and recovery plans at the gateway.
6. Supporting engineering delivery with Evidence-Based Engineering Reviews, Design Review by Failure Mode, AGILE working, and other forums to provide quality input and risk assessment.
7. Leading lessons learned events and driving continuous improvement of products and processes to prevent recurrence.
Skills, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Essential:
* Understanding of programme and project management, including delivery frameworks (e.g., PCDS), deliverables, and gateway governance.
* Ability to communicate complex issues clearly to various levels of the business.
* Experience working with customer and competitor insight data to inform product decisions.
* Knowledge of Failure Mode Avoidance Methodology within systems engineering at feature, system, subsystem, software, or hardware levels.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Quality Management and Operating Systems such as APQP, ISO9001, and IATF 16949.
* Proficiency with engineering problem-solving tools like 8D, Sigma, P-Diagram, and DFMEA.
* Familiarity with Quality Tools in strategy, delivery, launch, and manufacturing disciplines.
