Collins Aerospace is seeking an Engineering Project Lead (EPL) to oversee the authoring of Engineering Quotations for Modification and Upgrade (MAU) projects within our Aftermarket Galley division.
This role places you at the forefront of transforming aircraft interiors, designing solutions that enhance passenger experience, elevate airline brands, and redefine comfort at 35,000 feet. Whether upgrading cabin configurations or optimizing & rebranding the most complex Galley products in the market, your expertise will directly impact the future of aviation.
What You Will Do
* Own the Engineering Quotation delivery for various Galley upgrade projects, including in-service product improvements, Trim and Finish (T&F) changes, cabin reconfigurations, customization, and rebranding for top-tier airlines.
* Manage all aspects of Engineering quotations, from receiving requests from Business Development (BD) to releasing complete, vetted Engineering quote artifacts.
* Develop strategic program approaches, considering prototype and testing requirements, risks, and opportunities.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Design, Project, Stress, Certification Engineers, Sales & BD Managers, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
* Ensure timely and accurate Engineering quotations, communicating Estimated Completion Dates (ECDs) to sales teams.
* Maintain ownership and accountability for assigned quotes, fostering trust across the business.
* Conduct Quote Review Meetings to align stakeholders on program approach and assumptions.
* Verify the accuracy of quote details, including engineering hours, costs, schedule, assumptions, Risks & Opportunities, and testing requirements.
* Support Sales/Business Development with investigations and customer discussions prior to formal quoting.
* Lead Design Engineers in performing design studies and investigations supporting Seating quotations.
* Align standard hours for tasks across Design, Project, and Certification to ensure achievable budgets.
* Utilize visual management tools to communicate actions, team assignments, ECDs, and identify blockers.
* Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
* Provide additional support during program transition phases for active projects.
* Operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Experience
* A degree in a STEM-related field.
* Experience in designing mechanical systems for commercial aircraft seating is a plus.
* Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
* Familiarity with FAA/EASA and Airbus Seating requirements is advantageous.
Travel Requirements
Up to 10% travel, potentially international and domestic.
