About the role
The Estates Minor Works Coordinator is a part of the NOC Estates Team which sits within the Corporate and Business Support (CBS) Directorate and provides a quality service to all organisations accommodated at NOC. The team ensures facilities and estates are safe, sustainable, and sensitive to change.
The role of the Minor Works Coordinator is part of a wider team that is responsible for the delivery of all Hard Service works and Minor Project Works within the operational and strategic management function of the organisation. The role will include both remedial maintenance and minor project works utilising both in-house and external contractors. The Minor Works Coordinator will manage all aspects of allocated work from initial briefing stage to handover and completion. This will include the management of both internal staff and external contractors. The duties will be highly customer focused and include undertaking all work required to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the estate to defined procedures and processes including compliance with Health and Safety.
About you
You will have experience of working on Estates related projects, covering both remedial maintenance work and small-scale minor works such as room refurbishment or alterations to engineering services.
You will have a high level of knowledge understanding of the latest Building and Construction legislation, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Systems, Safe Systems of Work and extensive experience in the management of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
A very proactive and flexible approach will be required for this post.

Location
This position will be based in Southampton. The centre is well connected by public transport and has ample cycle parking in addition to free onsite car-parking with over 40 EV charging points.
