As we continue to expand and evolve, we are looking for a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our maintenance team. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for providing both mechanical and electrical maintenance support across our manufacturing plant. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive approach to maintenance and troubleshooting, with the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the business.
Maintenance and Repairs: Perform both reactive and planned preventative maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment, including packaging lines, conveyors, and other machinery.
Troubleshooting: Quickly identify faults and breakdowns in mechanical, electrical, and control systems, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects, focusing on reducing downtime, improving reliability, and enhancing overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
Documentation: Keep accurate records of all maintenance work, breakdowns, and inspections in line with company procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to understand maintenance requirements and prioritise work to ensure optimal production schedules are met.
Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Strong background in both mechanical and electrical engineering, with the ability to work on a wide range of equipment and systems.
Experience with PLCs, control systems, and automated machinery is essential.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Ideally, a formal engineering qualification (e.g. HNC, HND, or equivalent) in electrical or mechanical engineering, or relevant experience.
Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced FMCG or production environment.
Knowledge of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
