Join our passionate team and be part of the change.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are looking for a compassionate and organised Housing Management Worker to provide safe, secure, and empowering accommodation and support services for women in York who are experiencing multiple disadvantages.
You'll play a key role in managing safe houses, providing practical and emotional support, and working collaboratively with other professionals to create lasting change.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nConduct regular property checks to ensure safety and cleanliness.\nReport and follow up on repairs; maintain compliance with health and safety standards.\nSupport women to complete housing benefit forms and manage rent payments.\nWork with women to create support plans, risk assessments, and realistic move-on goals.\nRespond appropriately to incidents, safeguarding concerns, and tenancy breaches.\nBuild strong, respectful relationships with residents and multi-agency partners.\nHelp women access services related to domestic abuse, substance use, mental health, and criminal justice.\nMaintain accurate records using our case management systems.What We're Looking For\n\nEssential:\n\nExperience working with vulnerable women or those with complex needs (e.g. domestic abuse, substance use, criminal justice)\nKnowledge of safeguarding adults and children\nExcellent communication, organisational, and time management skills\nIT competency (Word, Outlook, internet-based systems)\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a trauma-informed team\nDriver with access to own vehicle and appropriate insuranceDesirable:\n\nExperience using housing management software\nUnderstanding of housing benefit processes and tenancy management\nExperience working in a multi-agency settingWhy Join Us\n\nWork in a mission-driven, supportive organisation\nOngoing training and reflective practice\nOpportunities for progression\nMake a meaningful difference in women's lives every dayTo apply, please submit your CV today.\n\n #DCCA12
