Thesuccessful candidate will join the existing team of CNSs and Nursing Associatesand will be involved in taking bloods, cannulation, patient observation as wellas a range of other nursing duties.

Main duties of the job
Thesuccessful candidate will:
Take blood and cannulate patients
Record Patient observations
Empty drains and record output
Assist nursing staff with otherduties such as taking samples to the labs.
Assist in the day to day running odthe unit such as cleaning, restocking nursing supplies and re-ordering ofsupplies.

Job responsibilities
Thepost holder will work with a small team to provide nursing care for liverpatients attending the day unit on a regular basis. The post involves directpatient care, and some duties to ensure the unit runs smoothly such ascleaning and restocking.
Person Specification
Experience
* Significant experience of working within a healthcare setting delivering personal and clinical care.
* Experience working in the specialty or in a day case unit setting
Qualifications
* Basic Skills Maths and English Level 2 (A*-C GCSE equivalent) or a Level 2 pass in the LTHT designated literacy and numeracy assessment
* The Care Certificate or in the absence of this the successful applicant must successfully attain the Care Certificate within the first 3 months of employment.
* NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, Diploma in Health Level 3, Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or equivalent health care related qualification
