SQL Developer C# / .Net / SQL £55,000-£60,000 Maidstone - Hybrid Working I'm currently working with a leading tech consultancy within the automotive industry who are looking for a SQL Developer to join their growing team in Maidstone! They are one of the market leaders within the automotive industry, where they partner with many global businesses and provide consultancy services, bespoke solutions, analytical platform and reporting tools. In role you will take ownership of the businesses critical database layer platform and focus on enhancing query efficiency, refining indexing approaches, and improving overall data architecture. You’ll partner with a team of engineers to drive performance, stability, and scalability across the SQL Server environment. The wider business uses Microsoft so coming from a C#/.Net background would be useful. The role is based in Maidstone and they require office working of 3 days a week. Key Responsibilities Tune and optimise complex T-SQL queries working with large volumes of data Develop and maintain robust indexing strategies Review execution plans to identify and eliminate performance issues Diagnose and resolve production challenges such as blocking, deadlocks, and slow-running queries Enhance database schemas to support data quality and integrity Assist with controlled and reliable database releases and changes Work closely with developers to promote efficient data usage and access patterns Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and T-SQL in live environments Demonstrated success improving query performance on large datasets In-depth knowledge of indexing techniques and execution plan analysis Proven ability to troubleshoot performance issues including locking and deadlocks Good understanding of transactions and isolation levels Solid experience in data modelling and schema design Background working with high-impact, business-critical systems Desirable Experience with high-volume or large-scale database systems Knowledge of ETL pipelines or batch processing workflows Familiarity with tools like Query Store, Extended Events, and DMVs Exposure to cloud-based SQL platforms such as Azure SQL Salary: £55,000-£60,000 Benefits: Pension, Healthcare, 25 days holiday If this role sounds of interest, then please apply and I can give you a call.
