The School of Dentistry currently has vacancies for Dental Therapists and is looking for enthusiastic and motivated dental care professionals who are keen to teach our undergraduate students. A variety of part-time posts are available on a fixed term basis, for four years. Job plans can be flexible, depending on the candidate. You may be expected to undertake teaching including clinical supervision, practical teaching in the clinical skills laboratory and the delivery of lectures and tutorials in the School, as directed by the Dean of the School or relevant Academic Lead. In addition, you must be prepared to be involved in appropriate pastoral care and Academic Advising of students and to take part in the day-to-day running of the School of Dentistry. All academic staff are obliged to take part in the formal and informal assessment of students as directed by the Dean of the School. Staff are also obliged to take part in Peer Review of Teaching, attend Academic Unit meetings and participate in training. You should have a full registration with the General Dental Council and professional indemnity and a BSc Dental Therapy/Diploma in Dental Therapy or equivalent. This post is a part-time post (0.4FTE to 0.8FTE must be available Thursdays or Fridays). Fixed term for 4 years initially.
