Level 3 Teaching Assistant - Barry Primary School
Location: Barry, Vale of Glamorgan
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Duration: Ongoing until at least Christmas, with the potential to extend until July 2026
Daily Rate: £88.92 per day (rate may increase depending on client, qualifications, and experience)
Role Overview:
*
Provide general classroom support under the direction of the class teacher.
*
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, focusing primarily on numeracy and literacy.
*
Assist with targeted interventions to support pupil progression and wellbeing.
*
Contribute to a positive learning environment, helping all children reach their full potential.
Desirable Experience:
*
Familiarity with Read Write Inc. phonics programme.
*
Experience delivering or supporting educational interventions in collaboration with the class teacher.
Essential Requirements:
*
Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
* Previous experience within a Primary School setting.
*
Enhanced DBS on the update service.
*
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as a School Learning Support Worker.
