Trials Analysis Engineer – Newcastle / Edinburgh (x6)
We’re seeking talented Trials Analysis Engineers with experience in software-focused trials analysis and system validation. The role involves assessing system performance, analysing large datasets, and supporting verification and validation activities. Experience with Radar systems is preferred, but candidates with expertise in other sensor systems, simulation, or complex system analysis are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse large datasets from rig and flight trials to evaluate system and radar performance, raising Systems Problem Reports (SPR) where necessary.
* Apply signal processing, image processing, and object classification techniques to extract actionable insights.
* Investigate system anomalies using real trial data, ensuring performance meets specifications.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and prototype cutting-edge defence solutions.
* Contribute to System Verification & Validation (V&V) activities as part of the continuous development/enhancement of radar and sensor systems.
1. Required Skillset:
* Strong experience with MATLAB, particularly for analysing large datasets.
* Full V-model lifecycle experience, with emphasis on implementation, integration, testing, and V&V.
* Experience in safety-critical systems.
* Understanding of radar or complex sensor systems is beneficial.
Desirable Experience:
* Background in Radar, simulation, automotive, aerospace, or defence environments.
