People’s Partnership is hiring a Senior Employee Relations Partner on a 14-month contract.
In this role, you'll take the lead on all Employee Relations (ER) matters, working with managers at all levels to provide expert guidance that aligns with the latest legislation and best practice. Your ability to resolve issues effectively and influence outcomes will be key.
You’ll partner closely with business leaders and Senior People Partners to align ER strategies with broader business goals, while playing an active role in shaping a positive, high-performance culture.
As a visible member of the People Team, you’ll help build its reputation as a trusted, value-adding function that drives continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders and Senior People Partners on complex and sensitive employee issues.
* Guide the development and application of fair, consistent, and compliant people practices.
* Lead and oversee the full range of ER matters — including disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, appeals, performance, and absence cases.
* Coach and guide managers with clear, current employment law advice.
* Provide ER support for organisational change and restructuring.
* Use ER insights and data to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions.
* Identify training needs and collaborate with L&D and external consultants to build manager capability.
* Lead ER projects as required.
* Manage and develop the ER Adviser and ER Partner, fostering growth and consistency in practice.
* Act as the main liaison with the external HR consultancy to ensure quality and alignment with internal policies.
Skills & Experience
* Strong, demonstrable Employee Relations experience
* Proven track record in a fast-paced environment
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation
* Excellent relationship building and influencing skills
* Calm, objective, and solutions-focused under pressure
* CIPD qualification or equivalent (desirable)
