Senior Manager - Transfer Pricing Compliance

This role is within KPMG's Transfer Pricing Compliance team, focused on helping multinational groups navigate global transfer pricing compliance including master files, local files, TP returns, and benchmarking.
Responsibilities
* Lead global transfer pricing compliance projects including preparing local files, master files, and TP returns for clients across multiple jurisdictions.
* Develop and maintain client relationships for global transfer pricing compliance projects.
* Project management for transfer pricing compliance services, liaising with the global KPMG network of member firms.
* Lead day-to-day delivery processes and manage projects to meet local-file deadlines and ensure correct submissions.
* Conduct functional interviews with clients to understand activities and value drivers for transfer pricing analyses.
* Identify key industry features influencing pricing and prepare transfer pricing analyses.
* Review benchmarking analyses across industries and transaction types (TNMM and CUP).
* Review and document transfer pricing policies.
* Understand and implement KPMG’s transfer pricing technology for local-file preparation and review.
* Support clients with tax authority enquiries.
* Coordinate with KPMG’s transfer pricing, international tax, indirect tax and other teams across jurisdictions on transfer pricing compliance topics.
* Coach and develop junior team members.
* Contribute to leadership discussions and drive continuous improvement within the TP Compliance team.
* Lead or assist with business development and project scoping for new global transfer pricing documentation proposals, including preparing scope and fee quotes and presentations in client pitches/demos.
Qualifications And Experience
* CTA, CA, ACA, ACCA qualification or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in economics, finance, law, accounting, or equivalent.
* At least 7 years of transfer pricing experience, including preparing transfer pricing documentation, tax value chain analyses, benchmarking, supporting with tax authority enquiries/Advanced Pricing Agreements, project management, and managing junior team members.
Skills
* Strong project management and coordination skills; experience on global transfer pricing compliance engagements or related programs.
* Experience in process design and implementation.
* Experience in transition, change management, and stakeholder management.
* Sound judgment with ability to identify and evaluate risk issues and know when to involve others.
* Analytical, with a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice.
* Driven and enthusiastic with a positive attitude; good commercial awareness.
* Desire to develop a technical specialty and stay technically up to date.
* Understanding of ethical and risk issues in a client service environment.
* Strong communication and people skills for client and team engagement.
* High level of facility with technology and its application in compliance is desirable.
