Job type: TemporaryLocation: WrightbusClosing date: Monday 20 Jul 2026 08:00About the roleWe are implementing HBHR, a new HR system that will change how our HR team and the wider organisation manage people processes. We are looking for an experienced specialist to lead the HR functional side of this change getting our HR team and end users ready, confident, and productive on the new system from day one and beyond.This is a hands-on role for someone who has guided a HR function through a system change before. You will work closely with the HR team, IT, the system vendor/implementation partner, and stakeholders across the business to make sure the transition is smooth, well-communicated, and properly embedded. The core functionality of HBHR being implemented are the core HRIS/database, ATS and Time & Attendance.Key responsibilitiesImplementation & readinessAct as the HR team's lead on the HBHR rollout, coordinating between HR, IT, and the vendor/implementation partner.Assess current HR processes and map them to the new system, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.Support data preparation, cleansing, and migration activities in partnership with IT and the vendor and GDPR requirementsHelp define and document new ways of working, workflows, and standard operating procedures aligned to the system.Coordinate testing (including user acceptance testing) and capture, track, and resolve issues ahead of go-live.Change management & communicationsDevelop and deliver a change and communications plan to prepare the HR team and end users for the transition.Identify the impact of the change on different roles and teams, and put plans in place to support any agreed changes to the structure of the HR team.Build engagement and buy-in, addressing concerns and resistance constructively.Training & enablementWork with the vendor to design and deliver training for the HR team and, where relevant, managers and employees (including guides, quick-reference materials, and drop-in sessions).Build internal capability so the team can operate and own the system confidently after the project ends.Support the HR team to walk the floors during go live to ensure that end users are supported adequatelyStakeholder management & reportingReport on readiness, progress, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders.Essential skills & experienceDemonstrable experience preparing an HR team for the implementation of a new HR system or HRIS.Strong understanding of core HR processes (e.g. recruitment, onboarding, payroll inputs, absence, performance, reporting) and how they map to a system.Experience in change management, training delivery, and stakeholder engagement.Comfortable working with data preparation, cleansing, and validation for migration.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into plain language for non-technical users.Well organised, able to manage competing priorities and keep a project on track.LocationOffice basedContract typeFixed-term, 6-8 monthsThe Benefits:Discretionary bonusLife InsuranceMedicash schemeDiscount with local businesses e.g. Galgorm Spa Resort and McAtamney's.
