Bristow Holland have an excellent Senior NOC Engineer position working for an exciting nationwide organisation based in Cardiff with 3 days a week working from home.
Responsibilities:
* Manage, operate, and develop the network environment for retail and business customers.
* Act as an escalation point for employees and customer service operatives, as well as providing excellent customer service to retail and business service providers.
* Perform necessary change management minimising customer impact.
* Respond to outages and major incidents and follow incident management best practices.
* Provide a point of senior escalation for level 1&2 Engineers.
* Maintain and upgrade the Core network.
Key Skills:
Essential
* In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
* Familiarity with access control models and network security.
* Sharp troubleshooting skills
* Strong networking experience
Desirable
* Experience with GPON/FTTH technology, experience in a Telecom environment, knowledge of SIP.
* A strong ability to build maintain and troubleshoot MEVPN services.
* Incident Management.
