Your main responsibilities include:
* Performing planned and reactive maintenance tasks to keep site equipment reliable and compliant, meeting departmental targets.
* Supporting the installation, commissioning and qualification of new equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
* Conducting mechanical and electrical fault-finding, repairs, and improvements.
* Supervising contractors to ensure compliance with safety and GMP standards.
* Maintaining accurate records, managing tools and parts, and assisting with cleanroom, HVAC, and utility upkeep.
* Participating in planned shutdowns, audits and safety checks.
* Driving continuous improvement and a proactive engineering and safety culture.
This role also involves some on-call support outside of normal working hours and at weekends.
What you bring:
* Experience in manufacturing, GMP, or regulated environments
* Engineering qualification (Level 3 NVQ, ONC, or City & Guilds)
* Hands-on mechanical and electrical fault-finding and problem-solving
* Knowledge of building services, facilities systems, and preventative maintenance techniques
* Experience with maintenance record systems and digital reporting
* Strong communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills
* Flexible attitude, including willingness to support planned weekend engineering work
* Understanding of safe systems of work, permits, and contractor management
Nice-to-haves (but not essential!):

* Knowledge of HVAC, utilities, or building management systems (BMS)
* Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability improvements
