HR Business Partner Stevenage (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite minimum) ⏳ 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension / T2P) £22.43 PAYE | £30 Umbrella BPSS (British Nationals Only) We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a leading organisation within the UK defence and aerospace sector. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders in a complex, high-performing environment where HR plays a critical role in delivering strategic objectives. Due to the nature of the work, this role is open to British Nationals only and requires BPSS clearance (processed by the client prior to start). The Opportunity This is a true HR Business Partner position — acting as: “The voice of HR within the business and the voice of the business within HR.” You’ll operate within a large-scale, matrix organisation, delivering a full spectrum of HR support aligned to strategic business goals. The role focuses heavily on influencing, stakeholder partnership, change management, and embedding performance and talent processes. Key Responsibilities * Partner with business leaders to proactively deliver HR value aligned to operational goals * Provide expert guidance on HR policies, employment law, and best practice * Drive annual people processes including Performance Reviews, Salary Reviews and Team Reviews * Support managers through employee relations matters including disciplinary and grievance cases * Lead and support change initiatives with strong focus on the human impact of transformation * Drive talent management and internal mobility initiatives * Coach and develop leaders to build engaging, high-performance teams * Monitor absence and support implementation of Absence Management processes * Support recruitment activities including interviews and assessment events * Produce monthly HR data packs (headcount, attrition, absence, etc.) * Contribute to HR projects and wider business initiatives What We’re Looking For We’re keen to speak with HR professionals who thrive in complex, fast-paced environments — ideally within Defence, Aerospace, or similarly large matrix organisations.
