Saw Operator to work a weekend shift (6am to 6.0pm Sat & Sun), paying £25.96 per hour -based in Patchway / Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. Temporary ongoing position - Benefits include 28 days holiday, Pension, Onsite parking. Immediate start
Reporting to the Production Manager and working as part of a team, this role would suit someone who has previously worked as a Saw Operator or Machine Operator or Metal Finisher within an engineering or manufacturing environment and has an understanding of engineering drawings. Previous experience of using aband saw, bar saw or similar would be ideal, as would working with metal or wood.
Duties of the Saw Operatorwill include:
Following drawings and work orders to cut materials to size and thickness
Checking materials and carrying out quality checks
Inspecting first off, using tape, micrometers and calliper instruments
Stamping and labelling finished goods
Using FLT and some warehouse duties
The successful candidate will have previous machine operating experience and ideally have worked with metal parts and materials. You will be able to work from drawings and follow work instructions, as well as checking finished goods. In addition you will have good IT skills and enjoy working as part of a team in a fast paced, busy environment.
