Head of Financial Planning & Analysis | £65,000-£67,000 | Children's Charity | Maternity Cover (12 months FTC) | Hybrid - Bristol or London
This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to join a leading children's cancer charity on a maternity cover contract. You will play a critical role in shaping the organisation's financial planning, reporting, and analysis at a time of significant change, with the implementation of Microsoft Business Central. This role can be based in either London or Bristol, but would require some travel to the Bristol office if based in London (expensed). 4 days a week would be considered too
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the production of monthly management accounts and finance reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity
* Overseeing the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
* Successfully embedding the new finance system (Business Central), driving improvements in management reporting and forecasting
* Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing trusted financial insight and guidance
* Managing and developing the Finance Business Partners and Management Accountant
* Explaining financial performance clearly to the Executive Team, Trustees, and budget holders, providing proactive insights and recommendations for improvement
Person Specification
* Qualified Accountant (CCAB or equivalent) with strong senior-level FP&A experience
* Proven experience in leading budgets, forecasts, and monthly financial reporting
* Demonstrated success in driving and embedding change within a finance function
* Excellent leadership and people management skills
* Strong analytical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail
* Confident communicator, able to simplify complex financial information for a range of audiences
* Charity VAT and corporation tax knowledge desirable
* Experience of Microsoft Business Central/Dynamics also desirable
