We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join our Clinical Practice Research Datalink team in the Safety and Surveillance group.
Within a week of working here, your day could include: data processing, data access, and data analysis systems to develop and support end-to-end data processing solutions. Responsibilities include developing end-to-end Extraction Transform Load (ETL) data processing solutions from data collection to deployment; maintaining and supporting CPRD’s data processing pipelines; ensuring data assets are of high quality and accompanied by appropriate metadata; and identifying optimisations to enable scaling and repeatable data use.
The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in computer science, IT, mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
They will have proven ability to design, build, and test data products based on feeds from multiple systems, using various storage technologies and access methods.
* Proven ability to deliver data solutions that are resilient, scalable, and future-proof, in accordance with organizational standards.
* Experience in producing, maintaining, and updating relevant data models tailored to organizational needs.
* Skills in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs or scripts.
