Job Description:
Walton Leigh is a secondary special school for students with severe and profound & multiple learning difficulties. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and happy to help support the students (aged 11-19) with their learning, behaviour, and life skills, as well as providing physical and personal care where needed.
We have a great school full of happy students, and our ideal Teaching Assistant will have plenty of energy and a willingness to learn. We require a person who has lots of energy and enthusiasm to support the educational and care needs of the students attending our school.
We seek individuals who can work flexibly during school term time on an ad-hoc basis, supporting the educational and care needs of the students alongside existing staff.
This role is suitable for those with school experience, graduates, or individuals seeking additional hours in a rewarding environment.
We are looking for people who:
1. Can form effective relationships with young people and enjoy working with them.
2. Have a commitment to supporting students of all abilities as part of a team.
3. Can motivate and inspire pupils to learn.
4. Have excellent communication skills.
5. Remain calm and maintain a sense of humour under pressure.
6. Are competent in ICT.
Salary: Surrey S3, FTE £23,576
Contract: Zero Hours – hours offered as and when required by the school
