Our client is an award-winning multidisciplinary design consultancy seeking a Senior or Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team in Cambridge. They are dedicated to delivering sustainable developments throughout the UK.
What are we looking for?
We seek an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a talent for thinking outside the box, who enjoys a collaborative approach to developing pragmatic and innovative design solutions for technical and environmental challenges in land development.
Ideally, we want someone with 3-5 years of proven experience in land development, good 2D CAD skills, experience in preparing General Arrangement plans and construction details, with some capability in developing 3D skills, and familiarity with the following software:
* Autodesk CAD – Essential
* Civils 3D design – Preferable
* Site 3D – Preferable
* Infodrainage / Microdrainage - Essential
Proven knowledge and track record of preparing technical submission drawings for S38/S278 and S104 submissions.
Your key areas of knowledge and expertise:
* HNC or BEng Civil Engineering degree
* Consultancy/private sector development background with experience in residential development
* Experience in preparing highway and drainage designs for both private and adoptable works
* Experience producing technical drawings for tender and construction purposes for infrastructure projects
* Numerate and software literate, including experience with 3D modelling software, Microdrainage, and AutoCAD
* Good understanding of legal, planning, technical consent, adoption, and contract procedures for highway and drainage design, including Section 38/278 and Section 104 agreements
* Knowledge of design principles, codes, and standards such as Manual for Streets, Local Authority Design guides, the SuDS Manual, DCG, etc.
