Role and Responsibilities
The Senior IT Trainer will support the digital transformation of defence operations and ensure Members of the Armed Forces and their Tier 1 Industry Partners are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to use secure applications effectively. Day-to-day, you’ll collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver impactful training solutions that make a real difference to national defence and your career development.
* Collaborating with teams to develop training content for secure applications used by defence personnel and partners
* Conducting training needs analysis to identify knowledge gaps
* Delivering training courses virtually or in person using corporate project management applications
* Drafting and maintaining training documentation and lesson plans
* Reviewing training content and securing customer approval to meet requirements
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home and occasional travel to Leicester, Plymouth and Rosyth.
Essential Experience
* Designing, creating and reviewing training materials, including e-learning resources
* Explaining complex technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing
* Confidently delivering training sessions and presentations
* Using strong interpersonal and active listening skills to facilitate learning
* Understanding customer needs and applying a customer-focused approach
Qualifications
* Level 3 Award in Education & Training or equivalent training qualification
* Full UK Driving Licence
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
