Workshop Controller Vacancy – Taunton
1. Basic salary up to £40,000 - £45,000 OTE
2. 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) rising with service

A well-established automotive business in Taunton is currently seeking a Workshop Controller to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in the motor trade who is ready to take the next step in their career or bring their leadership skills to a thriving and supportive environment. It is required that you have previous experience of working within the Motor Trade, in the Workshop or Senior Technician background.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop and ensuring efficient workflow
5. Managing and supporting a team of technicians to meet performance targets
6. Allocating jobs effectively to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction
7. Liaising with service advisors and other departments to ensure clear communication
8. Monitoring job progress, maintaining quality control, and ensuring health & safety standards are met
9. Supporting the development and training of workshop staff
Ideal Candidate:
10. Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or Senior Technician within the motor trade
11. Strong leadership and organisational skills
12. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to excellent customer service
13. Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
14. Full UK driving licence
