Business Development Lead – Sarum Road Hospital – 37.5 Hours & Fixed Term – Salary: Up to £40,000 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
Overview
Sarum Road Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, is located in Winchester. We are seeking a Business Development Lead to join our Marketing department. The role is full‑time, requires flexible shift patterns, and contributes to delivering the hospital’s commercial strategy.
Duties
* Work with the Executive Director and senior management to devise and implement a sales and marketing strategy that delivers budgeted activity across all payor groups.
* Produce and maintain the hospital sales and marketing tactical action plan, detailing key initiatives that will drive sales performance.
* Define and execute a local consumer marketing strategy, ensuring activity aligns with local market and national strategies, with high‑standard collateral that conforms to brand guidelines and delivers a proven return on investment.
* Develop and drive an annual plan of consumer events to support the achievement of hospital sales targets.
* Support the implementation and tracking of a senior‑management team‑wide consultant account management programme, including initiatives to acquire new consultants and specialties, and to grow consultants’ practices.
* Set targets for primary care referrals in line with the hospital’s operational plan.
* Comply with all relevant mandatory training.
Qualifications & Criteria
* Strategy development and implementation experience.
* Experience in developing and implementing sales and marketing plans.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Effective written and oral presentation skills.
* Key account management experience, including stakeholder engagement.
* Experience in customer‑relations management/business‑to‑business sales.
