ABOUT THE ROLE
The Demi Chef de Partie is responsible for helping the Chef de Partie to prepare ingredients and cook dishes within a specific section of the kitchen.
You will be responsible to ensure that the section is ready for service and making sure dishes consistently meet the required level of quality. You will be also overseeing commis chefs and taking some responsibility of training them in different cookery techniques, kitchen equipment or the preparation of certain dishes.
ABOUT YOU
Minimum of 1 year work experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Relevant knowledge of Tom Kerridges work
A strong desire to learn and develop a career within luxury hospitality
Good level of written and spoken English
Flexibility to work varied hours - 54 hours over 4 days work schedule
Ability and resilience to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Pride and attention to detail in your work
Confidence & professionalism when interacting with high profile guests
Knife skills
Cookery knowledge and technical skills
Understanding of ingredients and recipes
The ability to work unsupervised
Teamwork and communication skills
The ability to work under pressure
NVQ Level 1 or equivalent
Food Hygiene Certificate, Food Safety Level 2
