Functional Skills English Tutor – Bingham, Nottinghamshire (£25–£30 per hour)
Teaching Personnel is seeking a resilient and committed Functional Skills English Tutor to provide one-to-one and small group tuition in the Bingham area. This role involves supporting learners who may be disengaged from mainstream education or require targeted intervention to improve their literacy skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Functional Skills English sessions from Entry Level to Level 2
Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learner needs
Track learner progress and provide regular feedback
Help students build confidence and develop core reading, writing, and communication skills
We are looking for tutors who:
Are resilient, empathetic, and passionate about education
Have experience teaching or tutoring English, ideally within the Functional Skills framework
Are confident delivering tailored learning plans
Have a solid understanding of the Functional Skills English curriculum
Can motivate and engage learners from diverse backgrounds

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
