We're looking for a Senior Advisor to join our Producer Responsibility team to help deliver the Government's Resources and Waste Strategy.
You'll work with Environment Agency colleagues, Defra, UK devolved administrations, and Industry to deliver significant changes as we reform legislation. You can make a difference.
You'll need to be adaptable, self-motivated, and able to translate policy into reality.
You'll be involved in all aspects of our work, especially the following:
Working closely with stakeholders across government, industry and the Environment Agency to influence and implement legislation for workstreams including Packaging and Deposit Return Scheme, with support to other workstreams as needed.
Providing technical advice within the Environment Agency and to industry.
You'll be working on driving forward reforms to waste management, to change the way that waste is managed in England, working with like minded people all pulling for the same result. You could be working to help shape a better digital system for the future of waste management, or delving into policy.
We're a dispersed team and work with a wide range of technical and project teams across the country.
We use smart tools to stay connected and reduce travel, but some travel and overnight stays may be required.
