OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Sheet Metal Worker for our client located in Grimsby. This is a Temporary to Permanent opportunity working 8-5 Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch break, plus Overtime as and when required.
As a Sheet Metal Worker you will manufacture, install and repair components, machinery and subassemblies using the appropriate material and techniques in line with the designated drawing, specification and trade.
To uphold this overall responsibility, the following job activities will be completed efficiently and effectively:
Manufacture: Using design drawings manufacture items required to the client’s specification, ensuring that the correct material, finish, technique and equipment / machinery is used in line with the industry and business standards.
Installation: In line with client requirements fabricate, install and commission where necessary plant, equipment and services at designated sites.
Repair: In line with client requirements undertake any repair works, contributing to diagnostic work as appropriate
Health & Safety: Ensure you maintain a healthy and safe working environment, reporting any issues and concerns to your line manager and / or Health & Safety team. This includes machinery, tools, equipment, PPE and general working environment both in the workshop and out on site.
Safety Checks: Ensure that all scheduled checks for static and portable equipment being used is completed.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Time Served/Level 3 Fabrication and Welding
Minimum 3 years experience
Experience of Working within the Food and Beverage Industry
Experience of working with 1.6-5mm Stainless and aluminium
TIG/MIG Welding experience
Pattern development experience
Willingness to work away and weekends as required
