As our Industrial Services Business Development Manager (BDM) you will be
responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
Summary of role and responsibilities
An Industrial Services BDM handles all stages of the sales process, from lead generation and client acquisition to account management and strategy.
* Identify opportunities:
Research organizations and markets to find new customers and growth opportunities.
* Generate leads:
Proactively find and contact potential clients through networking, cold calling, and other outreach.
* Manage sales pipeline:
Track and advance leads through the sales cycle using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
* Present proposals:
Plan, prepare, and deliver presentations and service proposals to prospective clients.
* Negotiate and close deals:
Work closely with clients to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure new business.
* Maintain client relationships:
Nurture relationships with new and existing clients to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business.
* Collaborate internally:
Work with internal teams, including operations, marketing, and tendering, to create proposals and ensure seamless service delivery.
* Analyse markets:
Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitor activity to inform business strategy.
* Report performance:
Track progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports and forecasts to senior management.
* Promote the company:
Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions.
