Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Client Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and expanding client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong leadership qualities and a passion for accountancy to contribute to Reign's success. The Client Manager will work closely with various departments to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs while fostering long-term partnerships.


Requirements

Your duties will include:

* Responsible for managing the schedule of the year-end work, to ensure deadlines are achieved, and support is provided where required
* Reviewing the limited company accounts and completion for more complex situations
* Ensuring all accounting standards are applied correctly with no errors or omissions for filing with Companies House
* Responsibility for reviewing the corporation tax returns for filing with HMRC
* Ensuring that corporation tax calculation and principles have been applied correctly
* Carrying out a review of Director self-assessments
* Responsibility for creating and sending out bills for any additional time spent on bookkeeping
* Managing a portfolio of clients, responding to their queries efficiently and effectively
* Processing P11D’s for clients in your own portfolio
* Ensure all clients receive an excellent level of service
* Develop an in-depth understanding of the clients’ operations, strategic goals and brand values
* Identify challenges, spot opportunities and areas for improvement and provide innovative solutions through touch point calls
* Responsible for complex case calls to the HMRC
* Reviewing the management accounts (profit and loss journals) on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis providing any variance analysis
* Carrying out forecasting and analysis of accounts to identify risk areas
* Account management discussions with clients; quarterly, 6 monthly and annually to identify any sales opportunities
* Supporting the Directors with the management of the team; taking responsibility for holiday management, return to work discussions, performance management and appraisals
* Supporting the Trainee Accountant to learn and develop into their role
* Takes responsibility for reviewing the VAT return and the nominal ledger on a monthly and quarterly basis
* Complete a review of the year-end accounts
* Responsible for reviewing the sole trader self-assessments where VAT registered
* Supports the Finance Director with capital gain and inheritance tax queries and calculations and other technical tax issues
* Work to ensure all compliance and reporting requirements are met
* Complying with GDPR and other relevant legislation regarding confidentiality
* Any other tasks which will support the rest of the team to deliver an effective service to clients
* Utilise own initiative and judgement in all tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Company
* To act as ambassador and in the best interests of the Company
* Working consistently to the legal requirements for health and safety
* Role model for all employees, displaying a great work ethic, being a keen team player and delivering to the highest standards
* Providing full information to the Directors relating to any incidents involving problems with customers, employees or equipment etc.
* Be responsible for the completion of additional tasks relating to your role upon request by Directors
* Work in a professional and flexible manner, contributing to an atmosphere of solidarity and respect within the team
* Attendance and full participation in all training relevant for your role with a willingness to personally develop
* Responsibility and management of bookkeeping
* Responsibility and management of the VAT returns
* Takes responsibility for the limited company accounts (preparation)
* Manages the process for the CIS returns


Success measures:

* Exceeding customer satisfaction targets
* Having the ability to structure own workflows and actively reviewing these to ensure productivity and service levels are achieved
* Development of client relationships, excellent levels of client engagement and retention
* Enhanced client relationships delivering new business and service opportunities while delivering outstanding customer service
* Feedback from the rest of the team


Who you are:

* ACA / ACCA or other accounting qualification
* Minimum 5 years practice experience
* Experience in a similar level role
* A detailed understanding of accounting responsibilities and accounting standards
* Experienced in preparing and completion of financial statutory, and management accounts production
* Skilled at interpreting and retrieving data
* Experience of transactional accounting practices
* Proven experience in managing a portfolio of clients
* Strong IT skills and working knowledge of financial systems
* Excellent Interpersonal relationship skills
* Skilled and effective communicator and connector
* Able to remain resilient when faced with challenging situations
* Able to adapt to changes in systems and technologyThe ability to effectively delegate
* Maintain your own working knowledge and awareness of legislation updates and best practice, and the ability to share your learning
* The ability to coach, develop and train team members
* A high level of attention to detail

Experience:

* Accounting: 5 years (preferred)
