Stoke-on-Trent City Council is looking for a dedicated Advanced/Senior Social Worker to join our Corporate Parenting Adolescents 14-17 Team. This is your chance to be part of a dynamic and supportive team, committed to helping cared-for children and care leavers thrive. Your Role: As an Advanced/Senior Practitioner, you will: Lead the Pathway Planning process for adolescents transitioning to adulthood ️ Provide high-quality advice, guidance, and practical support to help them achieve their aspirations Contribute to supervisory and practice development roles, supporting colleagues and enhancing team learning Implement corporate parenting principles, ensuring adolescents have stability, security, and opportunities to succeed What We're Looking For: ✔️ Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England ✔️ ASYE at least 3 years post-qualification experience ✔️ Experience in supervisory/practice development roles ✔️ Strong knowledge of care and pathway planning processes ✔️ Understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 ⚖️ ✔️ Ability to build positive relationships with adolescents, families, and partner agencies ✔️ Flexible approach to meet the needs of adolescents and the service What happens now?
