HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join our Head Office team in Swindon, Wiltshire on a permanent basis to lead tenders on civil engineering infrastructure projects.
The role will include:
* Ensuring the tender team have a full understanding of the Client requirements.
* Producing a tender schedule and holding de-brief meetings on progress.
* Direct supervision/management of the tender team during the tender process and the complete lifecycle of the tender development activities
* Significant operational contribution to the tender process by writing, reviewing and finalising the bid
* Working with the Planner, the Bid Manager will plan the Project to the level of detail required by the client.
* Working with the Procurement Department, the Bid Manager will assist in interviewing the supply chain.
* Coordinating with subcontractors for technical data input and liaising with estimators to obtain the information they need for pricing.
* Contributing to cost production to ensure consistency with technical volume.
* Preparing Risk management documentation for the projects and/or services to be supplied to the client
* Liaising with the individuals and departments who are responsible for delivering the project/or services to the Client, to ensure that what is being bid can be delivered
* Producing post-bid reviews and hand over documentation.
What we are ideally looking for:
* A proven track record of leading successful Construction/Civil Engineering infrastructure project tenders
* Excellent Interpersonal, Communication and Leadership skills
* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
