Job Purpose
The role would suit a commercially minded individual with good communication skills and who enjoys business development and will bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.
Under the guidance of more experienced members of the department, the successful applicant should be able to work independently on a mixed case load of commercial matters for a wide variety of clients.
The applicant must be able to demonstrate their ability in dealing with complex matters, have good solid academics and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
The range of work will include joint venture projects, data protection, terms and conditions and commercial agreements including brand protection, intellectual property licences, agency and distribution agreements as well as some assistance with corporate transactions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The following tasks provide a general overview of the types of activity, the candidate will be expected to engage in or oversee on a day-to-day basis. The tasks are not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities as all employees are required to be flexible, dynamic and have the capacity to think creatively when presented with challenges.
Commercial Contracts.
Terms and Conditions.
IT & E commerce contracts.
Agency, Manufacturing and Supply Agreements.
Collaboration and Joint Venture Agreements.
Software Licenses and software development.
Franchise Agreements.
Undertaking Due Diligence.
Participation in Business Development and Marketing activities.
Any other \"ad hoc\" duties when required

Location
The successful candidate will either be based in the Bristol office or the Gloucester office.

Essential Criteria
Legal Status
Appropriate DBS disclosure will be required prior to confirmation of appointment.
Right to live and work in the UK, e.g. valid UK or EU passport or appropriate visa/work permits.
Education/ Qualifications
Qualified Commercial Solicitor registered with the SRA
Skills/Knowledge
4 years+ PQE in non-contentious commercial work
Some corporate transactional experience
Strong communication skills
Good organisational, time management and IT skills.
Self motivated, flexible and with a willing attitude.
Excellent attention to detail
Professional attitude with excellent client care skills
You may have experience of the following: Commercial Lawyer, Corporate Lawyer, Commercial Contracts Solicitor, Commercial Associate, Corporate Associate, Company Commercial Solicitor, Non-Contentious Commercial Solicitor, Commercial & Technology Solicitor, Commercial Contracts Lawyer.
