Shop Supervisor
Location: Sue Ryder Charity shop, 35 The Homend, Ledbury HR8 1BT
Hours: 15 hours per week over 7 days
Pay: £12.79 per hour + rewards & benefits
As a Shop Supervisor you will help run the Ledbury shop, support the shop manager, lead a volunteer team, and contribute to vital fundraising activities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Drive business, push sales, and achieve target.
* Lead a team to deliver great customer service to donors and customers.
* Work with the local community to generate sufficient donated stock.
* Recruit, train & retain a volunteer team, supporting the shop manager.
* Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping; ensure health and safety.
* Manage stock processes, keep the shop well merchandised with fresh seasonal stock.
* Act as brand ambassador, supporting in‑store campaigns and national fundraising initiatives.
* Maintain effective stock processes through the EPOS operation.
Minimum essential criteria:
* Customer service experience.
* Previous supervisory experience.
* Cash handling and till work.
* Basic IT skills (email, instant messaging, video calls).
* Organisational skills.
* Lone working experience.
Desirable criteria:
* High‑street retail, leisure, or hospitality background.
* KPI and target experience.
* Charity retail experience.
* Health & safety knowledge.
* Team player.
* Key holder / opening / closing experience.
* Merchandising / stock rotation.
