ASA are currently recruiting for a Planning and Risk Manager to join a Public Sector inquiry on an initial 6-month contract, with possibility of extension till the end of the Inquiry, on a hybrid basis with at least two days a week from the office based in Edinburgh.
Main Responsibilities:
· Lead the monitoring, updating, and reporting of the Inquiry Plan, identifying dependencies, critical activities, and resolutions to issues.
· Implement the Inquiry Risk Strategy, including identifying and challenging mitigation plans and monitoring through to resolution.
· Manage the Inquiry Operations Manual, facilitating updates and supporting teams across the board in all areas in meeting milestones and deadlines.
· Review and implement a robust governance framework to deliver accurate and timely reporting to senior stakeholders.
· Facilitate communication and interaction between multiple projects and teams, sharing lessons learned in a dynamic environment.
· Continuously capture lessons learned by the Inquiry, maintain a log of these lessons, synthesise insights, and identify opportunities to implement improvements across the general work of the Inquiry.

· Strong stakeholder management and project management skills are essential.
· Strong analytical skills and ability to use evidence effectively.
· Proven track record in improving performance and driving results.
· Exceptional communication and engagement abilities.
· High level of self-awareness and adaptability.
Essential Criteria:
· Extensive experience in leading complex programs across multiple teams, employing recognised Project Management methodologies.
· Demonstrated expertise in planning and risk management, providing support and advice across various business areas.
· Strong people management skills, capable of collaborating effectively across diverse teams.
· Ability to add value by coordinating joint working and ensuring consistency in reporting.
· Excellent networking and influencing skills.
