Lead Distribution Manager: Indirect Sales
Location: Luton / Hybrid
The Job
The Lead Distribution Manager, Indirect Sales, owns the global commercial strategy for all third-party sales and intermediary channels, including Aggregators, GDSs, OTAs, TMCs, and corporate travel intermediaries. This role is crucial in driving revenue, margin, and market share through strategic, data-driven decision-making and strong partner leadership.
This position combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, including negotiations, managing senior partner relationships, and channel performance. A deep understanding of the evolving distribution technology landscape (NDC, APIs, dynamic offers) is essential, along with the ability to align internal stakeholders for future-ready solutions.
How You Will Do It
1. Define and own the global indirect distribution strategy, focusing on revenue growth and profitability.
2. Lead performance management for all indirect channels, including KPIs, dashboards, and revenue targets.
3. Negotiate and manage strategic agreements with GDS providers, aggregators, and key intermediaries.
4. Collaborate with RM, Finance, Digital, and Network teams to align commercial priorities and protect yield.
5. Contribute to technical and product enhancements (e.g., NDC, API connectivity, merchandising).
6. Identify risks and opportunities, propose mitigations, and adapt to market changes.
7. Engage with senior stakeholders and represent the airline in industry forums and with distribution partners.
8. Drive automation and efficiency in collaboration with Product and Tech teams.
9. Deputise for the Head of Distribution & Channels, including interactions at Director level as needed.
What You Will Need
* 7+ years in airline distribution, commercial partnerships, or sales strategy roles.
* Strong commercial acumen with a record of revenue growth through third-party channels.
* Deep understanding of distribution tech, trends, and regulations (e.g., NDC, ONE Order).
* Experience in negotiating complex global B2B agreements.
* Financial fluency in building business cases, understanding margins, and managing budgets.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leaders.
* Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and develop strategies.
* Proven leadership skills, talent development, and driving accountability.
* Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Experience delivering insights via dashboards, KPIs, and root-cause analysis.
* Commercial awareness supporting broader revenue and product strategies.
* Self-motivated with goal-setting and accountability skills.
* Willingness to travel as needed.

Location & Hours of Work
This is a full-time role, with the team typically in the office 3 days a week. Some travel may be required.
