The role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be utilising your commercial expertise in support of the client for a major decommissioning project. This offers an excellent opportunity to further develop within a quantity surveying discipline as part of a growing project.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for overseeing commercial activities, such as contract change and administration, amongst provision of commercial advice and guidance.
1. Provide commercial support and expertise to projects being responsible for a range of commercial activities (bid governance, reviews, change management, compensation event contractual notices, etc.)
2. Undertake internal compliance, liaising with the relevant Head of Commercial and customers as required
3. Support the CNL Project Managers with all commercial aspects on the project
4. Develop relationships with key stakeholders ensuring alignment of objectives and mutual setting of goals
5. Understanding of the head contract terms and conditions and how these flow down to the Subcontract supply chain
6. Proactively ensures contract compliance exists and proposes and monitors correction plans to ensure any non-compliance is eliminated
This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/onsite and two days working from home and is based at our Birchwood, Warrington hub.
Essential experience of the Senior Quantity Surveyor
7. Demonstrable experience in a Quantity Surveying role
8. Strong commercial acumen
9. Experience in supporting projects and change initiatives using appropriate methodologies
10. Knowledge of standard forms of contracts, such as NEC3
11. Detailed understanding of business requirements and ensures these are adequately provided for in the overall sourcing strategy
12. Good understanding of day to day commercial administration in regulated industries
Qualifications for the Senior Quantity Surveyor
13. Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or have a relevant degree
