Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented professional with a passion for data? Do you have experience working in the Automotive industry? If so, we have the perfect role for you!
We are currently seeking three Vehicle Repair Data Technicians to join our evolving team at Thatcham Research. As part of the Vehicle Data Management team, you would be responsible for accurately identifying and translating OEM vehicle parts and methods information into our Thatcham databases. This role will be key in delivering vehicle data and information that support Repair and Insurability to internal and external stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
1. Conduct research and deliver vehicle repairability projects, ensuring data aligns with organisational standards.
2. Acquire, produce, and maintain vehicle parts and vehicle repair methods data sets accurately and in line with organisational standards.
3. Research and collate technical vehicle data from various internal and external sources for assigned projects, understanding the variances of different vehicles within a model range.
4. Respond to external repair customer vehicle data enquiries professionally and efficiently, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
Skills & Experience that Will Set You Up for Success
* Existing knowledge and understanding of vehicle anatomy, components, and systems.
* Experience working within the Automotive Industry and/or in a similar role working with vehicle data.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Competent in the use of Microsoft 365 applications (specifically Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
* Willingness to develop knowledge of new systems and reporting tools.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to coordinate multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
* Recognised motor industry qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, ATA or equivalent) would be advantageous.

You are an analytical problem solver with a strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical vehicular data effectively to stakeholders. Your autonomy and adaptability enable you to work well both independently and within a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Working Hours & Location
Standard hours are 8:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, early finish on Friday (8:30 - 15:45). We offer flexible working arrangements. You will work from our Thatcham office at least two days per week.
