Maintenance Surveyor
Hybrid role - working from home and at one of our offices within the South to suit your location, covering Surrey, East & West Sussex, Kent, South, South West & South East London.
Permanent, full-time contract (37.5 hours per week).
Salary circa £42,000 – £47,000 pa, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include a Health Cash Plan.

Typical day as a Maintenance Surveyor
* Conduct pre- and post-inspections of repairs on responsive and void properties across the South, ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
* Provide technical advice and support to trades, maintenance managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure a high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant service.
* Manage contracts, monitor progress against building schedules, and utilize customer insights to meet our customer promise.
* Handle disrepair cases and assist customers with damp and mould issues in their homes.
* Measure materials accurately to support a 'right first time' approach.
* Ensure void re-servicing is performed to a high standard for quick re-let.

You are
* Educated to at least HNC/HND or equivalent in surveying or a related building field, with significant professional experience in surveying.
* Knowledgeable about damp and mould causes, with relevant qualifications or willing to obtain them.
* Experienced in diagnosing property conditions, including disrepair and dilapidation surveys, and remedial works.
* Able to understand building pathology and diagnose complex issues like subsidence.
* Experienced in managing contractors, ensuring safety compliance, including CDM regulations.
* Proactive, self-sufficient, and capable of managing your patch to deliver work on time, within budget, and commercially.

* Work Monday to Friday, with flexibility to manage your schedule around work, customers, and personal commitments.
* This is a hybrid role, combining days in the office and working from home, with travel across the South.
* Use technology for record updates, budgeting, KPI management, online learning, and collaboration.
* Must hold a full UK driving license and valid vehicle insurance for business use — mileage is reimbursed.
* A Basic DBS check is required; we cover the cost.
