This is a proper in-house paralegal role, supporting a busy legal function across contracts, compliance, disputes, and day-to-day legal operations. No two days are the same, and youll be trusted to get stuck in. The Role (what youll actually be doing) Youll be supporting the legal function across a broad mix of work, including: Litigation & disputes Liaising with external solicitors when needed Helping gather evidence, prepare documents, and organise files Supporting claims, disputes, and employment matters Managing a varied caseload Contracts & drafting Drafting, reviewing, and amending commercial agreements (NDAs, supplier and customer contracts, terms & conditions, employment documents, etc.) Supporting updates and rollouts of company terms and policies Legal & business support Providing day-to-day legal admin support to senior stakeholders Preparing legal summaries, briefing notes, and research memos Responding to internal queries from Operations, Sales, HR, and Finance Helping improve internal legal processes and procedures Compliance & data protection Supporting GDPR processes (DSARs, privacy notices, retention schedules) Maintaining compliance registers, training logs, and risk documentation Assisting with due diligence for clients, suppliers, and partners What were looking for Youll need: Previous experience as a paralegal or legal administrator (in-house or law firm) A good understanding of contract law and commercial realities Strong drafting, proofreading, and document management skills Excellent organisation and prioritisation Clear, confident communication Discretion and professionalism Nice to have: Law degree / LLB / LPC / SQE studies GDPR or compliance exposure What you might not like (being honest) This isnt a narrow, siloed role youll be spinning a few plates at once Youll deal with lots of internal queries, some of them last-minute Its not wall-to-wall pure legal theory theres practical admin involved Youll need to be comfortable chasing information and keeping people on track Its part-time, so youll need to manage your time well and hit the ground running What kind of person will thrive here Proactive and self-motivated Calm under pressure, with common sense and commercial awareness Happy working independently and as part of a wider business Approachable, professional, and reliable Why this role stands out Genuine in-house exposure Real variety across contracts, compliance, disputes, and business support Part-time hours with proper responsibility A role where common sense is valued as much as legal knowledge Interested?
