To provide clerical and reception support services to patients and the department, including collecting and recording vital patient data on the UECC computer systems: Meditech and System 1. Responsibilities include booking ambulances and working collaboratively with the UECC team to ensure effective and efficient patient service.
The UECC Receptionist will register and book in patients attending the Emergency Department, SDEC (Same Day Emergency Care), and GP OOH Service.
Main duties of the job
* Work on the two receptions serving UECC.
* Register patients attending the department via walk-in or ambulance.
* Handle telephone inquiries for the department.
* Use Meditech and System 1 systems effectively.
* Arrange follow-up appointments with relevant specialties.
* Perform general administrative and clerical duties.

Experience
* Experience working within a health environment
