Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the friendly & supportive Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) team at Ysbyty Gwynedd. This post is particularly suitable for doctors experienced in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, who are looking for more experience aiming to enter specialist training or to support CESR, and who will provide clinical experience on the second on call tier. The post holder will be supported by, and work in conjunction with, the Consultants in O&G, working alongside the other second on call doctors, junior medical team and nursing & midwifery colleagues.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of work including outpatient clinic sessions in obstetrics and gynaecology, labour ward and gynaecology operating theatre lists in addition to the on-call rota. The on‑call commitment is on the second on call rota; the rota frequency and work pattern out of hours is reviewed regularly and may change in the future.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years O&G experience is required, with a minimum of 6 months clinical experience in the NHS. The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team is essential. Applicants must be both flexible in their approach and be ready to meet the challenges presented by the evolving health service changes in North Wales.
