Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Paediatric team in a Band 6 post. The team treats children from 0-19 years across Norwich and Norfolk, in outpatient and community settings including MDT clinics, mainstream and special schools. The post holder will be supported by experienced senior clinicians for supervision and teaching. Days and hours to be discussed at interview with some after-school appointments required.
This post suits individuals with an interest and experience in working with children and young people. Continuous Professional Development is actively supported through an appraisal system, in-service training and post-graduate library facilities.
Responsibilities
* Assess and identify common Paediatric MSK conditions.
* Assess and identify common neuro-disability conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy and Developmental Delay.
* Manage a caseload of mainstream and special school children with long‑term conditions, and actively participate in orthotics provision, postural and tone management.
* Be involved in the delivery of hydrotherapy, assessment clinics, and outpatient follow-up clinics. Attend and participate in MDT clinics including Cerebral Palsy MDT and Orthotics clinics.
* Supervise and train Band 5 physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistant practitioners, assistants and students.
