About the role
This is a rewarding and varied position that combines personal care, daily living support, and social companionship. You'll be helping me stay connected to my community, spend time with loved ones, and continue doing the things that bring me happiness.
I have complex needs, so full training will be provided - including opportunities to develop your skills in specialist areas like clinical care. You'll also benefit from a pension scheme.
Please note: A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as you\'ll be driving me to appointments, social visits, and days out.

* I wear an extensive plastic body brace at all times and am unable to come out of it. This means I cannot bend or sit down so have to be washed within my body brace, lying down on my bed. You will need to be comfortable with all other aspects of personal care. Daily bed bath. Foot care. Reporting on the condition of my brace. Coping with accidents and illness/ Monitoring pressure sores caused by the brace.
* Accessing the local community and driving me to and from appointments, visiting friends and family, and the shops, as well as assisting me to further my interests.

* The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.

Hours
Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 7.45am-4pm and one Sunday morning shift a month. Mon, Wed evenings 6pm-11pm. Plus cover/bank hours available
Pay and benefits
Hourly pay rate: Weekdays - £15.50. Weekends - £16.50 per hour. Mileage rate (if applicable): 40p per mile when transporting me in your own car to and from appointments
